The Rotary Club of Battersea (London, England) has offered their support to the ACP and made funds available to buy new furniture for the Mthumbane Pre-School and the Port St JOhns Junior Secondary School.
This little Primary School is our main ongoing project: our partnership has been a success for over 8 years.
The Port St Johns Junior Secondary School is a well established institution in PSJ and the Amapondo Children's Project is proud to assist them to keep up with the high standard of education they strive for.
An additional classroom was added to the Mthumbane Pre-Primary School in 2010: thanks to the help of volunteers and kind donations of the local business owners, the school now has a big classroom available to accommodate all the children comfortably.
In 2014 The Amapondo Children's Project raised sufficient financial funds to build a ablution block at the Mthumbane Pre-Primary School: the school now has access to two flushing toilets and to ensure water supply, a water tower was constructed next to the toilet block.
There is ongoing maintenance at the Mthumbane Pre-Primary School: check out the pictures of what's been happening between 2012 and 2017
